Cookies, games and stories mix with a little mischief

On Monday, December 30, 27 stuffed guests and their caretakers met in the Story Hour Room to enjoy a special Story Time with Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey. After tucking in their furry friends for the night, the children left and returned on Tuesday morning, December 31, to find them well—but not well rested!

According to Bailey, “Our annual Stuffed Animal Sleepover is one of my favorite events. Each year, children trust me to take care of their special friends overnight – which is a big responsibility! Once the children leave, it’s up to me to keep my new friends entertained and out of trouble until they get picked up the next morning. We played games, read stories, and made cookies. But as with any sleepover, there is always a little mischief and this year, my friends had a little too much fun with the toilet paper while my back was turned! All in all, it was a very fun night. I can’t wait to see what kind of shenanigans we get up to next year.”
