SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — The County of San Luis Obispo Public Health Department will host a brief news conference today to make a public health announcement regarding COVID-19 and answer questions from the press.
What: Public health announcement regarding COVID-19; updates on testing, social distancing, and steps to protect the community’s health.

When: Friday, March 13, 11:15 a.m.
Where: County of San Luis Obispo Joint Information Center, 1133 Kansas Ave. in San Luis Obispo
News conference will also be streamed live at facebook.com/SLOPublicHealth.org. Due to limited space at the JIC, typical news conferences do not meet social distancing requirements. During the news conference, we will try to adhere as closely as possible to social distancing requirements. Members of the media are invited to view the announcement via the Facebook live stream.
Why: While there are currently no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in San Luis Obispo County, the County is taking action to protect the health of the community. Individuals, businesses and community leaders all have a role to play a role in keeping San Luis Obispo County safe.
