For the past 13 years, the Paso Robles Youth Sports Council has raised money to improve and maintain sports fields and facilities for hundreds of local kids who play softball, baseball and soccer. As our population grows, a bigger demand for safe playing and practice fields increases. Fortunately, the solid partnership with the City of Paso Robles Recreation Department and the PR Public School District and the forum it creates, continues to bring the mission of the PRYSC to fruition.
Regarding the North River Road fields, Marc Dart, president of the Paso Robles Youth Sports Council, says “Councilman Steve Gregory has served as a pivotal person on moving this project along. We thank him and Councilman John Hamon for all of their support.”
North Coast Engineering is providing engineering and donating up to $5,000 in services. Throughout Paso Robles, from batting cages, pitching mounds and playing fields to bleachers, clay and sod, the improvements allow hundreds of kids and their parents, family and friends to enjoy the game!
Get Involved!
The completion of large projects as well as cleaning and building and field maintenance depends on teams of volunteers and sponsorships. Services and products needed include grading, seeding, paving, fencing, sod and irrigation supplies. Financial donations are greatly appreciated. Monthly meetings are the third Monday of the month at 6 pm in the White Oak Room at Centennial Park.
