12th annual event will be hosted at Riverstar Vineyards on May 2, 2020
You and your furry, four-legged friends are invited to join Sherwood Dog Park volunteers on a 2k or 4k jog or walk through the lush Riverstar Vineyards at the 12th annual Dog Jog on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Riverstar is located at 7450 Estrella Road (at the end of Airport Road).
After the jog, listen to live music by Wine Country Troubadours as you enjoy lunch, wine tasting and tour the event expo comprised of local, dog loving vendors and silent auction. Be sure to bring your lawn chair or blanket for the picnic area.
During lunch SLO DOG will be presenting a variety of Advanced Dog Skills including Agility and Obedience Demonstrations, as well as flyball and nose work.
“What a splendid way to spend time with your dog while jogging through the vineyards at beautiful River Star Vineyards,” says Larry Miller, Sherwood Dog Park’s board president. “The event is filled with activities for the whole family to enjoy. It’s an opportunity to come together as a community, have some fun with your pet and support your local dog park.”
Participation in this fundraiser is a great way to “actively” help support the ongoing maintenance and improvements for the Sherwood Dog Park located on Scott Street in Paso Robles. Registration for this event is open.
An early registration fee of $30 includes: 2k or 4k walk, jog, or run, commemorative dog bandana, goody bag, finisher’s medal, a voucher for lunch and a glass of Riverstar wine for 21 and older participants. Additional lunches ($12) or wine ($6) will be available for purchase.

About Sherwood Dog Park
Sherwood Dog Park “Where Dogs Take Flight” opened in Paso Robles April 2012 as a result of the grassroots efforts of a few hard-working community members with help from Parks4Pups, a nonprofit organization. It is the only dog park in Paso Robles and is located at 290 Scott Street adjacent to the Senior Center. Sherwood Dog Park is paid for from private donations, park day use, membership fees and fundraisers such as the Dog Jog.
