PASO ROBLES — A fatal traffic accident at the intersection of Highway 46 and Buena Vista Drive snarled traffic for a couple of hours Monday morning, Nov. 18, the Paso Robles Police Department reported.

On Monday at about 9:20 a.m., PRPD responded to a report of a traffic collision with injuries at the intersection. PRPD units arrived on scene and found two vehicles were involved, a gray 2002 Buick and a red 2001 Ford Ranger.

The driver of the Buick, an 83-year-old man from Coronado, was found dead inside his vehicle, PRPD reported.

Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this crash, according to PRPD. The names of people involved in the crash were not released before publication.

Traffic on the highway was impacted for about two hours while emergency personnel cleared the roadway.
