Kayla Peach Foundation shines a light for families
You Can “Make a Difference” for a Family Facing Substance Abuse
There is very real epidemic of substance abuse related deaths among our youth. The mission of the Kayla Peach Memorial Foundation is to bring awareness and education to empower families with knowledge and information about this epidemic. The KPMF works to prevent this tragedy from devastating more families; implementing educational programs in our schools for parents and youth starting at an earlier age. Current programs are Reality Tour and REALL Simulation; both hands-on programs that empower our youth with knowledge and information necessary to make wise and life-saving choices.
In addition to a presence on the PR High School campus, the foundation holds Town Hall events that feature educational videos and guest speakers on the warning signs and preventative measures that involve the entire family. Through partnerships with the PR School District, treatment and prevention organizations, law enforcement and community businesses, scholarships are offered to graduating seniors.
The Color Fun Run, along with a health fair and block party, will be held on Saturday, August 26 starting at 2 pm. The events begin at Paso Robles Sports Club leading to the run/walk through Vina Robles Vineyards on Priska Road. The course is 5K, 10K or 1 mile for 14 & under. Health fair and block party includes music, food, info booths, silent auction, raffle, prizes, and lots of COLOR! Paso Robles Sports Club will also host an Open House.
