Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce to Honor award winners at the Annual Gala on Saturday February 29, 2020 at Rava Wines

The Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce (PRCC) is pleased to announce Mark Perry as 2019 Roblan of Year and he Paso Robles Housing Authority as the 2019 Beautification of the Year. Both will be honored at the Chamber’s Annual Gala being held Saturday, February 29, at Rava Wines, 6785 Creston Road, Paso Robles. In addition, the Chamber will recognize the 2019 Ambassadors of the Year, Tracy Ritchey & Lisa Colwell, install their 2020 Board of Directors and hold a silent and live auction at the event.

Mark Perry was born at the Paso Robles War Memorial Hospital. He attended the local downtown elementary schools and graduated from Paso Robles High School where he was an accomplished athlete and leader in student government. Mark’s long-time employment at Paso Robles Waste and Recycling has allowed him to be heavily involved in the community. Mark Perry is a true “Paso Robles Bearcat.”

“I don’t do any of it for the recognition,” Mark said. “When I was growing up, people did things for me so it’s a way for me to give back as a means of thanks. I can give my time, and I try to do my best to do so whenever possible.”

Mark has been a life-long supporter of Paso Robles with his involvement with St. Rose Church, Bearcat Boosters, Paso Cares, Paso Robles Main Street Association, Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce and the Boys and Girls Club. As a member of the Pioneer Day Committee, Mark works on the fundraiser – the Firestone Walker International Beer Fest. As a member of Rotary Club of Paso Robles, Mark helped organize the Pioneer Day Old Timers Luncheon. Many will recognize Mark as an enthusiastic Pioneer Day parade announcer with his cohort Vince Vanderlip. Other involvement and organizational efforts include the annual Rotary Winemaker’s Cookoff and Golf Tournament.

The Paso Robles Housing Authority, under the leadership of Executive Director David Cook, is being honored for their work in Oak Park. The Oak Park Community Apartments at the north end of Paso Robles is entering its final stage of replacing the original 148 housing units built in 1942 to house soldiers and their families during World War II. Once complete, the complex will offer over 300 modern apartments to house qualified families.

Tracy Ritchey of A.C.E. Promotions and Lisa Colwell of DAOU Vineyards and Winery will be named Ambassadors of the Year to acknowledge their hard work and dedication to the mission of the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce.
