PASO ROBLES — The Paso Robles REC Foundation and the City of Paso Robles are bringing back their popular Concerts in the Park series this summer, offering free live music in Downtown City Park on Thursday evenings through Aug. 20.
The season opened June 11 with local favorite Mini Nova, a Central Coast band known for its blend of Latin rock, soul, and jazz. The group features members of the Steve Miller Band and WAR.
Held at the City Park gazebo, the annual concert series draws residents and visitors for evenings of music, dancing, food, and beverages in the heart of downtown. Concerts begin at 6 p.m. and continue weekly through Aug. 20, with no performances scheduled on July 2 or July 23.
This year's lineup includes the Molly Ringwald Project on June 18, Monte Mills & the Lucky Horseshoe Band on June 25, Michelle Lambert on July 9, ACME Time Machine on July 16, ULTRA on July 30, One Love Bomb on Aug. 6, Grupo Eco on Aug. 13, and IMVA on Aug. 20.
"Our concert series has become a favorite summer tradition among locals and visitors alike," said Lynda Plescia, manager of recreation services for the City of Paso Robles. "We are so excited for the fantastic and diverse musical lineup that we have planned this season."
Wine and beer will be available for purchase from season sponsors J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines and Firestone Walker Brewing Company, with proceeds benefiting the Paso Robles REC Foundation and its mission to enhance local parks and recreation programs.
