Teodulo Vasquezjimenez sentenced to 283 years to life for sexual abuse of two children

PASO ROBLES — Teodulo Vasquezjimenez, 41, was sentenced to 283 years to life in state prison after being convicted of 15 counts related to the sexual abuse of two children in Paso Robles, according to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office.

A San Luis Obispo County jury convicted Vasquezjimenez on July 15 after hearing evidence that he sexually abused the two victims over a period spanning 2009 to 2023, when the victims were between 6 and 14 years old.

Judge Rita Federman imposed the maximum sentence authorized by law on Aug. 11. The court also issued a criminal protective order prohibiting Vasquezjimenez from contacting the victims, ordered him to register as a sex offender for life and ordered $1 million in restitution for each survivor.

“This verdict and sentence reflect the extraordinary courage of these two victims, who came forward and endured the difficult process of seeking justice,” said District Attorney Dan Dow. “Their voices mattered, their rights mattered, and they remain at the center of this case. This outcome demonstrates the dedicated work of our criminal and victim justice system—law enforcement, prosecutors, victim advocates, witness-support staff, and jurors—to hold offenders accountable while honoring victims’ rights, protecting their safety, and supporting them throughout the process. We are deeply grateful to the jury for its careful and thoughtful consideration of the evidence and for delivering accountability in this case.”

The case was investigated by the Paso Robles Police Department with assistance from the District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigation. Deputy District Attorney Kristin Barnard of the Sex Crimes Unit prosecuted the case.

The District Attorney’s Office said victim advocates and witness-support staff provided assistance throughout the proceedings.
