TEMPLETON — The Templeton Community Services District will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special community celebration Wednesday, Aug. 12, during the Concerts in the Park event at Templeton Park.
Established by voter approval on Nov. 2, 1976, Templeton CSD has served the community for five decades, providing essential services including water, sewer, fire protection, parks and recreation, refuse collection, street lighting and drainage.
The anniversary celebration will take place at Templeton Park, 550 Crocker St., alongside an evening of live music. Critical Mass will perform classic rock favorites from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s from 6 to 8 p.m.
Community members are invited to bring lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of music, food and memories. An ice cream giveaway will be held near the park's cannon beginning at 6 p.m., while supplies last.
A brief 50th anniversary recognition ceremony will take place at 7 p.m., honoring the district's five decades of service to the Templeton community.
Current and former Templeton CSD board members, staff, volunteers, coaches and fire personnel are encouraged to attend and take part in the celebration.
