Salinas River Trail segment to close for repairs

PASO ROBLES — A section of the Salinas River Trail in Paso Robles will close for repairs from Monday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 9.

The City of Paso Robles will conduct routine asphalt repairs and slurry sealing on approximately a quarter-mile section of the trail. Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, and the trail will remain closed throughout the project, including evenings.

The closure will begin just north of the Navajo Avenue cul-de-sac, where the asphalt trail connects to concrete, and continue south along the Salinas River behind the Villa Del Rio Apartments. The closure will end where the asphalt connects to the decomposed granite path.

Pedestrians and cyclists are asked to follow posted closure and detour signs. The city recommends using Niblick Road and South River Road around the Woodland Plaza shopping center as an alternate route.

Closure and detour signs will be posted at trailheads throughout the project.
