Paso Robles to discuss fire department strategic plan at Coffee with the City

PASO ROBLES — Residents are invited to attend Coffee with the City at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at California Coast Beer Company for an update on the strategic planning process underway for Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services.

The department is developing its next five-year Strategic Plan for 2027-2032. The process began with a Community Risk Assessment and Standards of Cover, which identified local risks, service demands, response performance and future needs.

Department staff have also gathered input from employees and community stakeholders, including businesses, schools, colleges and healthcare providers. An initial public workshop was held Aug. 22.

Deputy Fire Chief Jay Enns will discuss progress under the current Strategic Plan, provide an update on development of the next plan and explain how residents can participate. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions, share ideas and provide feedback directly to department staff. A community survey will be available following the event.

Coffee with the City is an informal, one-hour meeting series offering residents information about current city issues, projects and initiatives. Presentations by city staff are followed by questions and discussion.

The Sept. 25 meeting will take place in the Patina Room at California Coast Beer Company, 1346 Railroad St., downtown Paso Robles. Coffee will be provided, and advance registration is not required.
