Paso Robles to celebrate opening of new Public Safety Training Center

PASO ROBLES — The City of Paso Robles will celebrate the opening of its new Public Safety Training Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and guided tours on Friday, Aug. 14, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The event, hosted by the Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services Department and Police Department, will take place at the new facility at 2924 Union Road. Community members are invited to attend the ceremony and tour the facility following the ribbon cutting.

The training center was designed to provide a dedicated space for training, education and collaboration among public safety professionals, with the goal of strengthening regional partnerships and improving services to Paso Robles and surrounding communities.

Funding for the facility included voter-supported Measure J-20 sales tax revenues, along with a $500,000 federal Community Project Funding appropriation secured by Congressman Jimmy Panetta.

“The Public Safety Training Center will give our local and regional public safety professionals a dedicated place to train, learn and work together,” said Fire Chief Jonathan Stornetta. “That preparation and partnership will help us continue providing the highest level of service to the Paso Robles community.”

The Aug. 14 ceremony will include a formal ribbon cutting and recognition of individuals and organizations whose support contributed to the project. Guided tours of the new facility will follow the ceremony.

The Public Safety Training Center is located at 2924 Union Road in Paso Robles.
