Paso Robles & Templeton Chamber of Commerce to host candidate forums ahead of November election

PASO ROBLES — The Paso Robles & Templeton Chamber of Commerce will host two candidate forums in September and October, giving community members an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking local office in the November election.

The forums will be held at the SLO CTE Center, 1030 Railroad St. #104A, Paso Robles, with separate evenings dedicated to the Paso Robles City Council and mayoral races.

The Paso Robles City Council Candidate Forum is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, while the Paso Robles Mayoral Candidate Forum will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.

The forums are intended to provide voters with an opportunity to learn more about the candidates, hear their perspectives on issues affecting Paso Robles and better understand their priorities for the community.

As a nonpartisan organization representing businesses and community members throughout North County, the chamber said it is committed to fostering civic engagement and creating opportunities for informed dialogue on issues affecting residents, businesses and the region's future.

“Local elections have a direct impact on the issues our residents and businesses experience every day,” said Robert Covarrubias, CEO of the Paso Robles & Templeton Chamber of Commerce. “These forums are an opportunity for our community to hear directly from the candidates and become better informed before casting their ballots.”

Both forums are free and open to the public. The chamber said additional information regarding the format and attendance will be announced at a later date.
