Man arrested after alleged firearm brandishing in Paso Robles

PASO ROBLES — A 56-year-old Paso Robles man was arrested Thursday afternoon after brandishing a handgun during a road-rage incident, according to the Paso Robles Police Department.
The incident occurred around 1:10 p.m. on Dec. 11 near Spring and 9th streets, where the suspect reportedly displayed a handgun at another driver. Officers located the suspect’s vehicle minutes later near 13th Street and River Road and conducted a high-risk traffic stop.
Police arrested the driver, identified as Jay Alba, without incident. A ghost gun was recovered from his vehicle. No injuries were reported, and officers say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Alba was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on multiple firearm-related charges, including exhibiting a firearm in the presence of motor vehicle occupants, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm in public without a permit, possession of a high-capacity magazine, and possession of a firearm without a serial number.
