Free summer gardening workshop set for July 25 in Paso Robles

PASO ROBLES — Paso Robles Recreation Services volunteers will host a free community gardening workshop focused on summer gardening on Saturday, July 25, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Uptown Family Park Community Garden, 641 36th St.

The workshop will cover essential summer gardening topics, including proper watering during extreme heat, refreshing soil, and knowing when to harvest crops. Families are welcome, and no registration is required.

The revitalized community garden features fruits, vegetables, cutting flowers, ornamentals, and common Central Coast landscaping plants. The educational workshops are held on the fourth Saturday of each month, with a featured topic while also allowing attendees to ask gardening questions on any subject.

"We are thrilled to bring this hands-on, educational workshop to the community garden and create a welcoming space for learning and connection," said Wyatt Lund, Recreation Program Coordinator.  "These workshops are a great opportunity for residents to gather, grow, and appreciate the beauty  of gardening together."
