Creston Road Bridge opens one week ahead of schedule

PASO ROBLES — The new Creston Road Bridge at Quail Creek near South El Pomar Road opened today, one week ahead of schedule following a closure that began June 1 for construction.

Detour and road closure signs will be removed, and traffic will return to its normal pattern. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area as the contractor may continue working along the road shoulders while finalizing the project.

The bridge had reached the end of its service life and sustained significant structural damage during the winter 2023 storms. Temporary repairs allowed the bridge to reopen to the public at that time.

The completed project replaced the 85-year-old storm-damaged timber and concrete bridge with a new concrete structure.
