California Mid-State Fair launches monthly crafting class series

PASO ROBLES — The California Mid-State Fair is launching a monthly crafting class series designed to help community members learn new skills and create projects that can be entered in the 2027 Fair.

The first Adult Crafting Class will be held Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Paso Robles Event Center’s Frontier Pavilion. Participants will learn how to make garden markers, with completed projects eligible for judging and display at the 2027 California Mid-State Fair. A $10 donation is suggested.

Registration for the August class closes Friday, Aug. 14.

Additional adult and youth classes are planned monthly through May 2027. Adult classes cost $10, while youth classes cost $5.

Upcoming classes include woodworking and planter boxes in September, mandala making in October, corn husk dolls in November, wreath making in December and paper flowers in January. Classes will continue with soap making, animal crafts, resin cutting boards, and planting and plant care through May.
