39th annual Downtown Lighting Ceremony to kick off holiday season

PASO ROBLES — Downtown Paso Robles will light up for the holidays on Friday, Nov. 28, as the 39th annual Downtown Lighting Ceremony brings festive sparkle and community cheer to the city park. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and is sponsored by the Adelaide Inn.

Mrs. Santa Claus and other costumed characters will gather at the downtown bandstand to welcome families and visitors, with the City of Paso Robles preparing a dazzling display of tree lights throughout the area. Just before 6 p.m., volunteers will distribute candles and songbooks. At the stroke of 6, Mrs. Claus will flip the giant switch, illuminating trees, shop windows, and buildings across downtown all at once.

This year's Holiday Songbook includes a Black Out Bingo page, which participants can complete by visiting participating merchants through Dec. 7. A drawing on Sunday, Dec. 7, will award three cash shopping sprees redeemable through Dec. 24.

City officials will share brief remarks before candlelight caroling fills the park, accompanied by live music. The evening will conclude with complimentary coffee and hot chocolate provided by The Human Bean.

The Downtown Lighting Ceremony is hosted by the Paso Robles Main Street Association. For more information, contact (805) 238-4103 or visit pasoroblesdowntown.org
