PASO ROBLES – Firefighters stopped a vehicle fire from spreading into nearby vegetation Friday afternoon near the Highway 101 and Highway 46 West interchange.
Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded on May 8 at approximately 4:04 p.m. after reports of a passenger vehicle fully involved in flames. Upon arrival, crews found the fire had extended close to surrounding vegetation and requested additional resources due to the threat of spread.
Fire personnel were able to quickly contain the blaze and prevent it from moving into the brush, extinguishing both the vehicle fire and any potential vegetation ignition.
Response included two fire engines and a battalion chief from Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services, with mutual aid assistance from Cal Fire/San Luis Obispo County Fire and the Templeton Fire Department. The California Highway Patrol and Paso Robles Police Department also responded to assist at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
