Templeton Junior quarterback Tyler Kaschewski is the Atascadero News and Paso Robles Press Football Player of the Year for his performances on Friday nights leading the Eagles to the CIF Central Section Division 4 quarterfinals. Kaschewski finished the season with over 3,000 total yards (1,107 passing, 1,904 on the ground) to go with 42 total touchdowns. The junior signal caller also finished the season second in the state in rushing touchdowns at his position.
Kaschewski scored seven touchdowns in a single game twice this season (Sept. 6 against Carmel and Nov. 8 against Roosevelt) but his best performance came in week two against Carmel where he accounted for 467 yards of offense throwing for 181yards and two touchdowns and running for 286 yards and five touchdowns on 24 carries.
