Paso Robles High School announces 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees

PASO ROBLES — Five former Paso Robles High School athletes and one historic team will be inducted into the Bearcat Athletic Hall of Fame during a ceremony Friday, Oct. 2, at War Memorial Stadium.

The inductees will be recognized during halftime of the Bearcats’ home football game against Lompoc High School.

The 2026 individual inductees are Toby Cinque, Class of 1988; Lonzo Davis, Class of 1985; Bailey Gaither, Class of 2015; Josh Oliver, Class of 2015; and Dewey Stroud, Class of 1979.

The 1971 Paso Robles High School Golf Team will also receive team recognition.

Cinque was a dual-sport standout in baseball and soccer at PRHS before continuing his career at Cuesta College and Sonoma State University. He helped Cuesta win back-to-back Western State Conference championships in 1990 and 1991 and was inducted into the Sonoma State Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999.

Davis was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball and baseball before becoming a coach and youth athletics leader. He guided the PRHS girls basketball team to an undefeated league championship season and a second-place finish in the 2021 Central Section Championships.

Gaither was a standout in baseball and football, earning multiple player of the year honors before continuing his football career at San José State University. He helped the Spartans win the 2020 Mountain West Championship and later spent time with the Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Maulers.

Oliver was a member of the 2014 Bearcat football team that won the CIF Division 3 State Championship. He went on to play at San José State and was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He has also played for the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings.

Stroud earned seven varsity letters in football, basketball and baseball at PRHS. He later worked in professional baseball operations and returned to Paso Robles as a coach and official. He served as associate head baseball coach from 1999 to 2018 and has officiated high school football and basketball for three decades.

The 1971 golf team compiled a 56-8 record during the four-year high school careers of core members Jason Cybulski, Larry Jenkins, David Hahn and Bill Drennan. The team won league championships in 1969 and 1971, including back-to-back sweeps of the top three individual spots at the league finals.
