PASO ROBLES — Linda “Pinky” George has officially launched her campaign for the Paso Robles City Council election in District 1, running under the slogan “Paso First.”
George, who ran for the same position in 2024, is once again taking her message directly to voters through neighborhood walks and door-to-door engagement. She has remained active in the community since the last election by regularly attending City Council meetings and advocating on local issues including homelessness, public safety, housing, cannabis regulations, property rights, and responsible government spending.
A centerpiece of her platform is the proposed “Paso Works” program — a new initiative designed to address homelessness through a structured work program.
George released the following statement in a press release announcing her campaign:
"I've spoken with many of you over the past two years and I'm grateful for those who continue to encourage and support me. I will continue to meet with residents, listen to your concerns, and work hard to earn your trust and your vote. My commitment is simple: Paso First. We need to continue to build a foundation as we grow. A new era of new ideas and a new council free of the usuals.
My work will continue to focus on accountability, common-sense leadership, and putting the interests of District 1 residents first. Currently, all candidates are seeking nominations. I want to show you the work and earn your nomination and vote. I have no conflict of interest; my only interest is you."
George emphasized her focus on accountability, common-sense leadership, and prioritizing the interests of District 1 residents. She highlighted her independence, stating she has “no conflict of interest” and that her only interest is serving the community.
