Highway 229 Lane closures near Creston begin July 22

PASO ROBLES — Motorists traveling on Highway 229 near Creston should plan for intermittent lane closures beginning Wednesday, July 22, as Caltrans begins a pavement maintenance project.

The work will take place between Rocky Canyon Road and Highway 41 and is expected to continue through early fall. Drivers can expect both overnight and daytime work with intermittent lane closures in both directions. Delays are anticipated to be no longer than 10 minutes.

Electronic message signs have been installed to alert motorists, and Caltrans advises travelers to allow extra time when driving through the area.

The $1.5 million project is being completed by Granite Construction of Arroyo Grande and is expected to be finished by September.
