City announces swim assessments ahead of summer aquatics registration
By PASO ROBLES PRESS STAFF REPORT · Fri May 15 2026
The City of Paso Robles is preparing for summer aquatics season with swim assessments and expanded registration hours designed to help families enroll in the appropriate programs.
Recreation Services will offer extended in-person registration hours at the Centennial Park facility, located at 600 Nickerson Drive, from Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
For swimmers who are unsure of their skill level, staff will provide free five-minute swim assessments at Centennial Pool on Friday, May 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. The evaluations are intended to help participants register for the correct swim lesson level before summer classes begin.
Summer swim registration will open simultaneously online and in person at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 9. City officials note that phone assistance will not be available that day, as staff focus on processing registrations.
Recreation Services encourages residents to take advantage of the early assessment opportunities to ensure a smooth registration process and proper placement in aquatics programs for the summer season.
