California Mid-State Fair introduces ‘Kindness Corner’ for Kids Day

PASO ROBLES — The California Mid-State Fair will debut a new family-friendly feature this summer with the introduction of the Kindness Corner, a quiet space designed to help children and families relax and recharge during Kids Day on July 24.

Located inside the Flower Building, the Kindness Corner was inspired by a Fair Proposal created by 2025 Miss California Mid-State Fair Queen Skye Davis as part of the scholarship pageant program.

The space is intended to provide a calm, welcoming environment where families can take a break from the excitement of the Fair before returning to enjoy exhibits, rides, games, entertainment, and other attractions.

"I wanted to create a space where children and families could slow down, recharge, and feel supported during their Fair visit," said Skye Davis, 2025 Miss California Mid-State Fair Queen. "It's exciting to see this idea come to life and provide a place where guests can take a break and enjoy a moment of calm during a busy day at the Fair."

Kids Day, one of the Fair's most popular family-focused events, takes place Friday, July 24. Children ages 12 and under receive free admission that day.

Fair officials said the Kindness Corner reflects the Scholarship Pageant's goal of encouraging contestants to develop ideas that enhance the guest experience. The pageant, which awards scholarships and promotes leadership and community involvement, will be held July 15 at 6 p.m. on the 805 Frontier Stage.
