Travel Paso honors hospitality leaders at 2026 Tourism Round Up

PASO ROBLES — Travel Paso recognized outstanding hospitality and tourism professionals during its annual Tourism Round Up held May 7 at the historic Paso Robles Inn Ballroom.

The event, held during National Travel and Tourism Week and the start of California Tourism Month, brought together industry leaders to celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to Paso Robles’ visitor experience and tourism economy.

Hospitality and Tourism Award recipients included Mae Gonzalez of the Paso Robles & Templeton Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center as Emerging Hospitality Leader and Joel Peterson of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance as Tourism Champion.

Visitor Experience awards were presented to Ramona Hernandez of Best Western Plus Black Oak (lodging), Maggie Tillman of Alta Colina Vineyard & Winery (winery), Libby Ryan of Just Baked (hospitality-related business), and Javier Soto, Gerardo Garcia and the team at Margie’s Diner (restaurant).

“Congratulations to all award winners,” said Stacie Jacob, President and CEO of Travel Paso. “The strength of our destination lies in the people behind it, and we are here today celebrating them for elevating our hospitality standard and guest promise. You make Paso proud.”

Travel Paso also presented Distinguished Leader Awards to Norma Moye of the Paso Robles Main Street Association, honored posthumously, along with Adam Firestone and David Walker, co-founders of Firestone Walker Brewing Company, and Kathy Bonelli of Paso Robles Vacation Rentals.

According to Travel Paso, tourism generates approximately $450 million in annual visitor spending in Paso Robles and supports more than 3,400 local jobs.
