SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — Bank of the Sierra has donated $2,500 to Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County to support the nonprofit’s efforts to build and preserve affordable housing throughout the county.

The donation will help fund Habitat SLO’s housing programs, including new home construction and critical home repairs for local residents.

“We are proud to support Habitat SLO in its mission to make affordable housing more accessible throughout San Luis Obispo County,” said Kevin McPhaill, President and CEO of Bank of the Sierra. “The  organization’s work helps create stability and opportunity for local families, and supporting efforts that  build brighter futures reflects our Bank’s commitment to strengthening the communities we both  serve.”

Habitat for Humanity SLO County CEO Dawn Smith thanked the bank for its support of local families and neighborhoods.

"Strong communities are built through partnerships," said Smith. "Bank of the Sierra's support helps us to provide critical housing solutions for local families while  creating opportunities for people to thrive. We're grateful to have community partners who share our  commitment to making a lasting difference throughout San Luis Obispo County."
