Templeton Unified names David Holley as new Templeton High School Principal

TEMPLETON — The Templeton Unified School District has announced the appointment of David Holley as the next principal of Templeton High School.

Holley brings five years of administrative experience at both the middle and high school levels. Most recently, he served as assistant principal at Atascadero High School, where he oversaw student services, academic programs, scheduling, assessments, and college and career readiness initiatives. He previously held an assistant principal position at the middle school level, leading school improvement efforts and supporting instructional programs.

District officials said Holley is recognized for his collaborative leadership style and commitment to building strong relationships with students, staff, and families. Throughout his career, he has focused on fostering positive school climates and implementing systems designed to support student achievement and well-being.

Holley and his family moved to North County three years ago and have become active members of the community.

“I am honored and excited to join Templeton High School,” said Holley. “I look forward to learning what makes Templeton Unified School District such a special place and becoming an active member of the Templeton community. Templeton High School has a strong tradition of excellence, and I am eager to partner with students, staff, families, and community members to build on that success while ensuring every student feels connected, supported, and prepared for their future.”

According to the district, Holley’s leadership philosophy emphasizes relationship-building, collaboration, and creating opportunities for all students to succeed both academically and personally.
