PASO ROBLES — The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District will host a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten Parent Information Night on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 5:30 p.m. at the Paso Robles High School Performing Arts Center, 801 Niblick Road.
The event is intended for parents and guardians of children entering TK or Kindergarten in the 2026–27 school year. District leaders and elementary school administrators will provide information on age eligibility, program options, enrollment requirements, and what families can expect as their child begins school.
Transitional Kindergarten is available for children who turn 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, while Kindergarten is open to children who turn 5 years old on or before the same date. PRJUSD offers full-day TK at every elementary school site, with classrooms staffed by a credentialed teacher and paraeducator and a 1:10 student-to-staff ratio.
Topics covered during the meeting include classroom structure and routines, developmentally appropriate learning experiences, language programs, after-school care options, and tips for preparing children for a successful transition into school. District staff will also explain the enrollment process and answer questions.
Enrollment for TK and Kindergarten for the 2026–27 school year will be open Feb. 2 through Feb. 20. Enrollment packets will be available starting Jan. 21 at pasoschools.org and at the District Office, 800 Niblick Road.
Families enrolling will need to provide a birth certificate, immunization records, parent or guardian identification, and proof of address. For more information, visit pasoschools.org
