PRJUSD expands free summer childcare programs

PASO ROBLES — Paso Robles Joint Unified School District is offering free summer childcare for students in transitional kindergarten through middle school through its Expanded Learning Opportunities Program.

Summer ELOP childcare will run from June 15 through July 28, with closures on June 19 and July 3. Program hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, offering working families reliable, full-day support. The district is also partnering with the Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County to expand services for older students. Summer care at the Boys & Girls Club will run from June 15 through July 31, with closures on June 19 and July 3. Program hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Officials say approximately 550 spots remain available, with registration open on a first-come, first-served basis.
