Candidate filing period open for Paso Robles school board election

PASO ROBLES — Community members interested in serving on the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Governing Board have until Aug. 7 to file candidacy paperwork for the Nov. 3 General Election.
The candidate filing period opened July 13 through the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder's Elections Office.
Three Governing Board seats will be on the ballot, representing Trustee Areas 1, 2 and 4.
To qualify, candidates must be U.S. citizens at least 18 years old, registered voters residing within the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District boundaries, and residents of the trustee area they wish to represent. Candidates also must not be legally disqualified from holding civil office.
Residents can determine their trustee area by viewing the Trustee Area Maps available at pasoschools.org
