Applications open for Must! Charities’ 'The Pitch' following $185K raised for local nonprofits

PASO ROBLES — Must! Charities is now accepting applications for the 2026 return of “The Pitch,” an innovative program designed to strengthen nonprofit leadership and inspire community giving following a successful inaugural year that generated $185,000 for local nonprofit organizations.

Set to take place in fall, The Pitch is a three-month coaching program that helps nonprofit leaders develop and refine a compelling three-minute presentation about their mission, impact, and future vision. Selected participants receive guidance from experienced volunteer coaches who help them sharpen their message and build confidence before the program’s live finale event.

The experience culminates in a public event where finalists present their pitches before a community audience. During the event, Must! Charities awards cash prizes to all finalists, while attendees are invited to contribute to the participating organizations, creating an evening centered on storytelling, philanthropy, and community support.

In addition to funding opportunities, participating nonprofits gain tools to strengthen their fundraising strategy and communicate their mission more effectively long after the program concludes.

Applications are currently open for nonprofits interested in participating, as well as community members who would like to volunteer as Pitch coaches. Businesses and organizations can also support the program through sponsorship opportunities.

Applications for nonprofits and coaches close April 16.
