Abraham D. Conrad 1974-2026

Abraham Douglas Conrad, 51, of Santa Margarita, California, passed away on April 15, 2026.

Born on June 19, 1974, in Delta, Colorado, Abraham grew up on a small family farm in Whitley Gardens, a river valley east of Paso Robles, California. His early education began at Phillips School, a small K-6th single-room country schoolhouse, where he achieved a unique milestone as part of the very first kindergarten class to go all the way through and graduate from the 6th grade. He later attended Flamson Middle School and Paso Robles High School before graduating from Shandon High School. He was the cherished son of Doug and Becky Conrad, and a protective big brother to his sisters, Angela and Alenna. He also shared a special bond with his older half-siblings, sister Victoria and brother Shawn.

Growing up on the family farm shaped Abraham into a man who appreciated life's simple pleasures, hard work, and close-knit community ties. A dedicated father, loyal friend, and family man, he brought warmth, dedication, and a unique perspective to everything he did. As a skilled tile setter by trade, Abraham took great pride in his meticulous craftsmanship. He also possessed a deep appreciation for heritage, dedicating time to collecting family history and preserving cherished heirlooms.

An avid outdoorsman and craftsman, Abraham found great joy in camping, boating, riding motorcycles, scuba diving, rock polishing, jewelry making, and winemaking. He was deeply involved in his children's lives, frequently coaching his sons in Little League, supporting them in 4-H, and sharing his love for animals. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing and camping with his kids and nephews.

Abraham is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Melanie; their three children, Gage (16), Charlotte (14), and Victor (10); and a large, loving network of extended family, including 18 nieces and nephews, as well as many long-time friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 3:00 PM this Friday, June 19, 2026, at Santa Margarita Park to share stories and honor his life. A barbecue will immediately follow the service to celebrate Abraham's vibrant life.
