TEMPLETON — Templeton resident David Allen Leader has been sentenced to two years of supervised felony probation and 30 days in county jail following guilty pleas related to vandalism and violations of a court order.
Leader, 71, pleaded guilty in July to one felony count of vandalism and seven misdemeanor counts of disobeying a court order. The plea agreement resolved two consolidated criminal cases stemming from a prolonged pattern of alleged vandalism, harassment and repeated violations of a civil harassment restraining order involving several Templeton-area neighbors.
As a condition of probation, Leader was ordered to stay away from the victims. The victims addressed the court during the sentencing and provided impact statements.
A restitution hearing is scheduled for Nov. 4 at 8:30 a.m. in San Luis Obispo County Superior Court, Department 7.
The cases were investigated by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Jerry Lulejian. Victim support services were provided by the District Attorney’s Office Victim Witness Assistance Center.
