Templeton CSD seeks residents to serve on advisory committees

TEMPLETON — The Templeton Community Services District is seeking community members interested in serving on several district committees that help review projects, financial reports, and policy matters before making recommendations to the Board of Directors.

The district is currently recruiting primary members for the Administration/Finance Committee and Measure A Oversight Committee, as well as alternate members for all internal standing committees. Interested applicants must be at least 16 years old, reside within Templeton CSD boundaries, and comply with the district’s conflict-of-interest requirements, including filing a Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests.

Committee responsibilities vary by focus area. The Administration/Finance Committee reviews budgets, audits, and major expenditures; the Water and Wastewater Utilities Committee addresses utility operations and infrastructure; the Fire and Emergency Management Committee focuses on fire services and emergency preparedness; and the Parks, Recreation and Refuse Committee oversees parks, recreation programs, and solid waste services. The Measure A Oversight Committee independently reviews expenditures from the voter-approved parcel tax that funds 24/7 staffing for Templeton Fire and Emergency Services.

Most committees meet three to five times per year on an as-needed basis, typically during regular business hours. The Measure A Oversight Committee generally meets twice annually. Applications must be submitted by Aug. 10, with committee appointments expected to be made during the Aug. 18 Board of Directors meeting.

Applications are available through the district, and interested residents may submit them by mail, email, or in person. For more information, contact General Manager Jeff Briltz or visit Templeton Community Services District.
