Update: Missing at-risk man located deceased near San Luis Obispo Country Club

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office reports that at-risk missing person James Michael Quinn, 86, has been located. Quinn was found unresponsive in a field near the San Luis Obispo Country Club on Tuesday night by members of the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team.

He received medical attention at the scene but was pronounced deceased shortly afterward.

Quinn had been reported missing on October 13, after last being seen around 6:30 p.m. near the 200 block of Charles Drive in the Country Club area during his regular evening walk.

The Sheriff’s Office investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 86-year-old James Michael Quinn of San Luis Obispo, who was reported missing on October 13.

Quinn was last seen around 6:30 p.m. near the 200 block of Charles Drive in the San Luis Obispo Country Club area while on his regular evening walk. He is described as White, 5'7", 145 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair. He was wearing a gray hooded jacket, blue shirt, blue jeans, and gray shoes.
