Public Hearing Scheduled for TRUTH Act Report in San Luis Obispo County

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the Annual TRUTH Act Report on Tuesday, January 27, starting at 9 a.m. in the Board Chambers at the Katcho Achadjian Government Center, 1055 Monterey Street. The hearing will review local law enforcement’s cooperation with federal immigration authorities and provide a community forum for public input, as required under the Transparent Review of Unjust Transfers and Holds (TRUTH) Act, California Government Code Section 7283.1(d).

Live Spanish translation will be provided for in-person public comments. Residents wishing to speak must appear in person; virtual public comments will not be accepted. Written comments may be submitted by email to Boardofsups@co.slo.ca.us, and all correspondence will be included in the official record. The TRUTH Act agenda item placement and full report can be reviewed on the County’s website at slocounty.ca.gov the Wednesday before the hearing. The meeting will also be broadcast live online at SLO County Meetings.
