Linda Marian Wood was born on August 7, 1944, in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, to Marian Pearl Wood (née Varney) and George William Wood II.
In 1953, Linda and her family moved from Massachusetts to Los Angeles, California, where her mother attended the University of Southern California. While living in Los Angeles, Linda contributed to the opening of the Beverly Hills National Bank in Beverly Hills.
After relocating to California’s Central Coast, Linda worked for Stenner Glen in San Luis Obispo and later for A+ Fire Protection in Paso Robles. Since 2010, Linda had been a cherished member of the El Paso de Robles Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She recently served as the chapter’s Treasurer and took great pride in welcoming three of her nieces into the organization.
Linda is survived by her brother, George William Wood III; her sisters, Lisa Wood of Paso Robles and Brenda Fletcher of Atascadero; as well as 14 nieces and nephews, 23 grandnieces and grandnephews, and 28 great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She will be remembered for her dedication to family, community, and heritage—and for the kindness and care she extended to all who knew her.
