Hope Family Wines names Matt Dusi Vice President of Business Operations

PASO ROBLES — Hope Family Wines has announced the appointment of Matt Dusi as the winery’s new vice president of business operations, a newly created leadership position focused on overseeing daily operations, administrative functions, and strategic growth opportunities.

A fourth-generation member of a longtime Paso Robles winegrowing family, Dusi brings decades of experience in both the wine and financial industries. In his new role, he will work alongside executive leadership, vineyard management, finance, winemaking, and direct-to-consumer teams to support operational efficiency and continued expansion at the winery.

“Matt is the perfect person at the perfect time to help Hope Family Wines move into this next stage of growth and opportunity,” said Owner-Winemaker Austin Hope. “Not only does he have the experience and skill set to help with our multifaceted business operations, but he is also a wine industry veteran who, like me, grew up in Paso Robles and maintains a deep love for the region.”

The Dusi family has been part of the Paso Robles wine industry since 1925, when Dusi’s great-grandparents planted Zinfandel vineyards after immigrating from Northern Italy. Prior to joining Hope Family Wines, Dusi served as head of commercial banking at Bank of the Sierra, where he managed a $2 billion lending portfolio and led a team of 40 employees.

“Hope Family Wines and Austin Hope are synonymous with Paso Robles, with decades of experience producing some of the region’s finest wines,” Dusi said. “After more than 30 years of knowing and working with so many people at Hope Family Wines, coming here feels less like starting a new job and more like joining a family.”

Hope Family Wines said the appointment comes during a period of significant expansion for the company, which includes six wine brands: Austin Hope, Treana, Quest, AUSTIN, Liberty School, and Troublemaker. The winery also recently unveiled a 140,000-square-foot warehouse and bottling facility in Paso Robles, introduced the 250-acre Tufera Farms vineyard in the Creston District AVA, and launched a rooftop solar project designed to offset 60 percent of the winery’s energy usage.

Company officials said the investments reflect Hope Family Wines’ continued commitment to sustainability, innovation, and the long-term growth of the Paso Robles wine industry.
