PASO ROBLES — Firestone Walker Brewing Company is celebrating 30 years of influence, innovation, and consistency in American craft beer with a milestone anniversary that looks forward as much as it honors the past. Founded in 1996 by brothers-in-law Adam Firestone and David Walker, the Paso Robles–based brewery has grown from a small Central Coast operation into one of the most respected names in craft beer, guided by a philosophy that values tradition, patience, and quality over trends.
“Thirty years in, we still believe the best beers are the ones that respect tradition but refuse to be trapped by it,” said Nick Firestone, CEO for Firestone Walker. “This anniversary is about honoring where we came from while continuing to build a brewery that is relevant, curious and future facing.”
The anniversary year features refreshed, heritage-inspired packaging for the brewery’s original beers, led by its flagship Double Barrel Ale (DBA), which has been brewed continuously since the company’s founding and remains the only American beer partially fermented in oak barrels. Union Jack IPA and Pivo Pilsner will follow with updated designs later this year. Firestone Walker is also bringing back Easy Jack IPA as part of a newly released IPA Mixed Pack, alongside Union Jack, Firestone IPA, and a limited-edition Double IPA, Diesel Thunder.
Celebrations will take place both locally and nationwide, including a special 30th Anniversary Brewery Block Party during the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival in May in Paso Robles, as well as Walker’s Wild Ride, a series of tap takeovers and events with longtime bar and restaurant partners across the country. The brewery has also launched a new anniversary video, Pour It All In, featuring founders, second-generation leadership, and longtime brewers, reflecting on three decades of craftsmanship and the belief that the work of making great beer is never finished.
