Fifth Annual SafetyFest returning to City Park June 6

PASO ROBLES — will return to downtown Paso Robles on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City Park, offering emergency preparedness training, safety demonstrations, and hands-on activities for the community.

Hosted by PASOSafe™, Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services, Paso Robles Police Department, and the Paso Robles Community Emergency Response Team, the annual event connects residents with first responders and safety professionals from across the region.

This year’s SafetyFest will feature demonstrations and educational opportunities focused on wildfire preparedness, earthquake and flood awareness, crime prevention, vehicle safety, cybersecurity, mental and physical health resources, and personal safety training.

“SafetyFest is a fun, engaging way to bring our community together to learn and participate,” said Ross Porter, Fire Captain/Paramedic with Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services. “Each year we expand the scope of our public education opportunities to help residents better prepare for emergencies and disasters, ultimately making our community safer.”

Gina Grieb, executive director of San Luis Obispo County CERT and co-founder of PASOSafe™, said the event helps families and organizations gain practical emergency-response skills from professionals who serve the region.

The event also supports the Paso Robles CERT program, which provides volunteers with training in disaster preparedness and emergency response skills. According to organizers, additional specialty training opportunities, including pet preparedness and advanced disaster-response courses, are being added this year.
