City urges residents to keep storm drains clear ahead of Fall rains
By Paso Robles Press · Mon Nov 03 2025
PASO ROBLES — As fall weather approaches, the City of Paso Robles is reminding residents to help prevent flooding by keeping storm drains free of leaves and debris. Clear drains allow rainwater to flow properly, protecting property and keeping streets safe during storms.
Residents are encouraged to:
- Sweep or mow fallen leaves to prevent buildup on sidewalks and driveways.
- Dispose of leaves properly by using green waste bins or composting, rather than raking leaves into the street.
- Work together with neighbors and local businesses to keep drains clear and check the City’s street sweeping schedule.
City officials say small efforts from residents can make a big difference in reducing flooding and protecting local waterways.
