PASO ROBLES — The California Mid-State Fair announced that Grammy-winning artist Chris Stapleton will headline a special Pre-Fair Concert on Tuesday, July 14, marking the first time in Fair history that a major concert will be held on the grounds before Opening Day.

Stapleton will perform at the Chumash Grandstand Arena with Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Molly Tuttle as the opening act. The concert will take place one night ahead of the Fair’s official opening and will serve as an early kickoff to the Fair’s 80th anniversary celebration.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. and will be available online only at MidStateFair.com

Ticket prices range from $90 to $260. Select food, beverages and artist merchandise will be available for purchase, and non-ticket holders may listen from the grounds with a $10 admission.

“It is an honor and a privilege to host and present an artist of Chris Stapleton’s caliber,” said Colleen  Bojorquez, CEO of the California Mid-State Fair. “Bringing world-class entertainment to our  community is something in which we take great pride, and we remain committed to keeping ticket  prices as affordable as possible so more fans can share in this incredible experience.”

Stapleton, a Kentucky native, is an 11-time Grammy Award winner and one of country music’s most respected artists, known for his blend of country, soul and rock. He continues his “All-American Road Show” tour through the summer.

Molly Tuttle, a Grammy-winning artist recognized for her innovative Americana and bluegrass sound, will open the show as she continues touring in support of her latest album, So Long Little Miss Sunshine.
