CERT Basic Training Class offered in Paso Robles

PASO ROBLES — The Paso Robles Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is offering a CERT: Basic Training Course to help residents prepare for disasters such as wildfires, earthquakes, and floods. The 24-hour course teaches participants how to safely assist themselves and others during emergencies through lessons in disaster preparedness, first aid, fire suppression, search and rescue, and more.
Classes will be held at the Paso Robles Public Safety Center, 900 Park Street, on October 28 and 30, and November 4 and 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. A final review and disaster exercise will take place Saturday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fire Station 3, 2924 Union Road.
The course is open to community members ages 15 and older. Attendance at all sessions is required to earn a completion certificate. The cost is $40 per person or family.
