Central Coast Moving & Storage spreads holiday cheer with turkey donation drive

PASO ROBLES — Central Coast Moving & Storage is once again giving back this holiday season through its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Donation Drive, aiming to provide 500 turkeys to families in need across San Luis Obispo County.

This year’s goal splits the effort between North and South County — 75% of turkeys will go to North County families, with the remaining 25% distributed in the South County. Using its own insulated moving trucks, Central Coast Moving & Storage ensures each turkey is delivered fresh and handled with care.

North County distribution will take place Thursday, Nov. 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Adventist Health Twin Cities, while South County families can pick up turkeys on Friday, Nov. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Adventist Health Sierra Vista. Volunteers from both organizations will assist with logistics, distribution, and community outreach.

“At Central Coast Moving, giving back is part of who we are,” said Austin Yarborough, owner. “After seeing the difference we made last year, we’re proud to go bigger! Our 400 turkeys plus 100 from Adventist Health on the Central Coast mean many more families can gather around a worry-free meal this Thanksgiving.”

“Adventist Health on the Central Coast is honored to partner with Central Coast Moving & Storage to support families across our community this Thanksgiving,” said Meghan Shoven, Director of the  Adventist Health Central Coast Foundation. “As a not-for-profit health system, we are committed to inspiring wholeness and hope through care that uplifts every person we serve. This effort reflects the  heart of our mission — neighbors coming together to ensure every family feels supported, valued, and  cared for.”

The drive is supported by a team of community partners and sponsors, including Superstar Trailers, Austin Barker Real Estate, Central Coast Cleanup Company, Estate 360, Eagle Energy, Hammon Overhead Doors, Jill Jackson Realtor, Brewer Plumbing, Kate Hendrickson Realtor, MGP Painting, Placer Title Company, Ryno Prints LLC, Santos Bros Plumbing, and Sure Mortgage Solutions, as well as numerous local donors.
