Applications open for 2026 Miss California Mid-State Fair Scholarship Pageant

PASO ROBLES — The California Mid-State Fair is now accepting applications for the 2026 Miss California Mid-State Fair Scholarship Pageant. Young women across San Luis Obispo County are invited to participate in this program, which combines scholarships, leadership development, and confidence-building opportunities.

Applicants must be 18–24 years old or graduating high school seniors and reside in San Luis Obispo County. No prior pageant experience is required. Contestants will be evaluated through personal interviews, talent presentations, evening gown competitions, Fair Platform proposals, and a final question.

Scholarships will be awarded in categories including Best Interview, Best Talent, Miss Congeniality, 1st & 2nd Runner-Up Princesses, and Miss California Mid-State Fair Queen. The Fair Platform Proposal allows contestants to present ideas to enhance the guest experience at the Fair, promoting leadership, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

The 2026 Pageant will be held Wednesday, July 15, at 6 p.m. on the Frontier Stage, continuing the Fair’s 80-year tradition of celebrating outstanding young women in the community.

“This program is about far more than a crown,” said Pageant Director Courtney Lucas. “It’s about providing  scholarships, mentorship, and a platform for young women to grow in confidence while representing their  community.”

Key dates: information meeting on March 25 and application deadline April 17. Applications are available now at MidStateFair.com or MissCMSF.com
