Templeton showcases businesses with annual expo

Templeton LogoTempleton businesses — and businesses from neighboring cities — will showcase their wares at Templeton Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Expo on Thursday, April 12. Once again, the expo will take place at Fig at Courtney’s House at 311 6th St. in Templeton, across from Templeton Pool, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The annual business expo is free and open to the public and includes giveaways, raffle prizes, food samples, beer and wine. The theme of this year’s event is Driving to Success.

Small town recognizes those that make it better

At the end of February, the Templeton Chamber of Commerce held its annual Community IMPACT Awards dinner recognized those that impact the small community of Templeton.

Templeton Farmers’ Market

Templeton Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Templeton Community Park. The market doesn’t close due to inclement weather, it only closes on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day if those holidays fall on Saturday. For more information, go to NorthCountyFarmersMarkets.com.

BINGO

Templeton Lions Club holds BINGO night every Monday at the Templeton American Legion Hall at 805 S. Main St. from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Templeton Women in Business

The Templeton Chamber of Commerce hosts Women in Business luncheons the second Tuesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. On Tuesday, April 10, the luncheon will be held at Templeton Community Center, 601 S. Main St. Two Tropical Gals will speak about “Your Identity After a Data Breach.” Tickets are $25 for chamber members and $30 for non-members. Pre-registration is required. Community Quilts

Almond Country Quilt Guild offers free quilting days every month at Bethel Lutheran Church, 295 Old Country Road in Templeton. All ages from the community are invited to the organization’s monthly get-together to sew, cut or organize their quilting projects. This month, the Community Quilts meeting will be held on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees are invited to bring their own lunch. Templeton Wine Fiesta

The sixth annual Templeton wine festival will be held on Saturday, May 5, from 1 to 5 p.m. in Templeton Community Park. Tickets are  $35 for tickets purchased by Friday, May 4 at noon and $45 at the door, beginning at noon on Saturday, May 5. The ticket price includes unlimited wine tasting, souvenir stemless wine glass, live music from Ricky Montijo and the Mojitos and food sampling.
