‘Petals in the Park’ offers hands-on workshops, floral inspiration, and lunch in support of local arts education programs
PASO ROBLES — Studios on the Park (Studios) is excited to announce a new summertime luncheon event for the community. The event will be held on Sunday, June 8, at 11 a.m. in downtown Paso Robles City Park.
“Petals in the Park” invites community members ages 8 and up to engage with Studios’ Artists as they lead hands-on art workshops in printmaking, pastels, and acrylics. Anne Laddon will guide you to create a floral masterpiece in pastels, Christy Wilkins will teach you the basics of acrylic painting as you paint a mushroom wonderland, and Studios’Printmakers will guide you step-by-step to craft your own fanciful prints. Attendees will rotate through each station, creating their own original masterpieces to take home. A delicious lunch will be catered by Chef Rachel.
“The park will be transformed into a floral, summertime wonderland to inspire your creativity,” said Anne Laddon, founder of Studios on the Park and visionary behind the event. “Come play with us in the sunshine and create art surrounded by flowers and inspiration!”
Attendees are encouraged to dress in whimsical, floral fashion. Handmade hats and headbands will be available for a $25 donation to Studios beginning on May 17 to further support the organization’s mission. Tickets for adults are $75, while children aged 8-16 are $50. Proceeds will support Studios’ Kids Art Smart and Community Arts Access programs, which bring art education and experiences to the community. To purchase tickets to the event, please visit studiosonthepark.org or call (805) 238-9800
