PASO ROBLES — Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services puts out fire at Super Storage on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

At approximately 1:40 p.m., the PRFD responded to Super Storage at 820 28th St. for a reported structure fire. The fire was contained at approximately 1:59 p.m.

The first unit arrived at the scene within approximately 3 minutes. Upon arrival, smoke was visible from the eves and open storage unit doors. Firefighters located and extinguished and contained a fire in the ceiling of the bathroom.

Two fire engines and one Battalion Chief from Paso Robles responded. Under the City’s automatic aid agreements, two fire engines and one Battalion Chief from Cal Fire San Luis Obispo County, one fire engine from the Templeton Fire Department, and one ladder truck from the Atascadero Fire Department immediately responded. Additional assistance was provided by Paso Robles Police Department and San Luis Ambulance Service.

The fire was caused during a plumbing repair operation, PRFD reported.
